I had previously visited this restaurant with my friend Celia during April last year when they had just newly opened. So, this time me and my husband decided to visit Dalloyau for breakfast on a Saturday morning. The restaurant is located on the 2nd level of Mall of Emirates and is closer to the Apple Store. The restaurant has an open area seating which is not very private while dining, but it was pretty ok for us as we were there quite early in the morning for breakfast so the mall was practically empty. Hardly many people passing by and if you ask me I loved sitting outside as the ambience was perfect. If you aren’t comfortable sitting outside you can always sit inside the restaurant which is a small area, away from the hustle.
The Dalloyau Menu
The breakfast menu is quite simple & straightforward and they don’t have a lot of choice compared to their lunch and dinner menu. We ordered their Dallayou Breakfast and French Toast Brioche.
Dallayou Breakfast – The breakfast cost 85 dhs and was brought in a 3 set tray. The presentation was quite impressive and the food smelled divine.
The breakfast included Eggs and you could choose scrambled, fried, omelette or boiled. I asked for the plain omelette which included beef bacon, hash-brown and salad with balsamic vinegar & pine seeds as sides. It tasted really good and was filling! The salad was perfect and fresh.
The viennoiserie included mini chocolate croissants and toasted bread. They also served a bun with 2 sets of jams.
The breakfast also comes with fresh juices and a choice of tea or coffee. I ordered their fresh orange juice and cappuccino.
The cappuccino was creamy and tasted good. If you order it separate from the menu, you have to pay 35 dhs which is quite pricey for the quantity and size compared to cappuccinos served at other restaurants.
French Toast Brioche – The french toast was just perfect. It was served with ice cream and fresh whipped cream on the top and custard sauce on the side which complimented the dish. It was soft, fluffy and yummy! For 40 dhs the dish was worth it! I highly recommend you to try the French toast 😋
The French breakfast was indeed a treat and we enjoyed it a lot! They also serve desserts which are freshly made and a must try!
I previously had their 1682 dessert with my friend Celia so we decided to try it again. The 1682 is a mini cake topped with caramelised nuts. It was crunchy and too sweet for my taste but my husband loved it!
What to Expect – The restaurant serves decent French breakfast and I would definitely go back. The choice is limited for breakfast but we have yet to try their Lunch and Dinner menu which has a lot to offer. I found the beverages menu too expensive than their food menu. The restaurant also serves excellent french desserts which I would highly recommend you to try.
Service & Ambience – The service was good and the waiters were attentive. Ambience was good as well though we dined outside.
Dalloyau is open from 8:30am to 12:00pm on weekdays and weekends
